Table isn’t that different to last season / perhaps West Ham or Wolves will do a Newcastle and pull away but Forest/Bournemouth/saints don’t look very different to Watford/Norwich /Burnley
We do ! Forest and Norwich being good examples although we just played poorly v Burnley. I think we've also had that problem against good sides too - last couple of times we played Palace for starters.
Yes. But we've also not beaten Spurs (twice), Villa , Leeds, Newcastle, Leicester , Liverpool, Palace, Southampton, and Chelsea in games at the Amex in 2022. Winning games in the PL is tough, for everyone, and we don't win often so difficult to suggest there are hard and fast patterns...
We do but then we don’t win very many football matches in the PL against well, anyone. Normally only 9 and last year 12 - out of 38. Improve that by only small margins and who knows but fact is the norm for us - is we struggle to win at least - against lots of sides.
That said our 12 wins in...
We are +6 n the YOY tracker... *forgive my rather arbitrary match up of the promoted teams with last years relegated teams. 3 points required in next two to remain on par.
Man Utd (A) + 3
Newcastle (H) -
West Ham (A) +2
Leeds (H) + 2
Norwich / Fulham (A) -1
Leicester (H) -
Liverpool (A) -...
Ha ! well it has to be one of the promoted three but its hard to match em up. For purposes here i think i've gone Norwich/Fulham, Forest/Watford, and Burnley/Bournemouth but you're right it could be any combination of them. This is what we have to do to match 21/22 v Forest, Bournemouth, Fulham...
They do - we do. Especially as we need a steep 10points from our next five to remain +6 on YOY
Brentford (A) W in 21/22
Forest (H) - or Watford (H) W
Haaland FC (A) L
Chelsea (H) D
Wolves (A) W
—————————-
Villa (H) L
Still + 6 on YOY as we lost 2-0 to Spurs at the Amex last season.Next up. A must win to stay +6 as its Brentford (A)
Man Utd (A) + 3
Newcastle (H) -
West Ham (A) +2
Leeds (H) + 2
Norwich / Fulham (A) -1
Leicester (H) -
Liverpool (A) -
Spurs (H) -
Even stevens on YOY , So +6 still on YOY.
Man Utd (A) + 3
Newcastle (H) -
West Ham (A) +2
Leeds (H) + 2
Norwich / Fulham (A) -1
Leicester (H) -
Liverpool (A) -
Next up Spurs (H) - free hit as it was a L last time round.
So +6 on YOY, but same number of points (13)
Man Utd (A) + 3
Newcastle (H) -
West Ham (A) +2
Leeds (H) + 2
Norwich / Fulham (A) -1
Leicester (H) -
Coming up - tricky set of YOY fixtures…
Bournemouth / Watford (A/3)
Palace (H/1)
Brentford (A/3)
We are now + 6 on the corresponding fixtures last year …
(for purposes of this - Fulham will be Norwich. My decision is final)
Man Utd (a) + 3
Newcastle (h) -
West Ham (a) + 2
Leeds (h) +2
Norwich/Fulham (A) -1
Norwich (A) was 0-0. I guess Bournemouth will be Burnley. Forest can be Watford.
