Over time imho it’s become more about entertainment and an eclectic collection of ‘characters’. Who in turn are increasingly savvy about eg not making a load of enemies/bitching.
With 2 or 3 plausible candidates, maximum.
We as a family have only ever watched it for the entertainment, faux...
I agree with all of that, the candidates are now wannabee D-listers and the producers want idiots who are TV 'personalities'.
Other than your point about Harpreet. I think her business will succeed and grow, with the expertise she'll get left, right and centre. My guess is on online, not via...
[Spoiler alert, if you’re that one other remaining viewer. Catching up later] ….
…. well, Harpreet won. It was pretty obvious a month or two back.
In a series of seriously flawed candidates, she was actually a grown-up, with a viable business idea already up and running on a small scale...
Definitely.
I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t win.
It may come down to dessert/coffee outlets isn’t AS’s thing, out of his comfort zone, as a business proposition. That’s been decisive in his final choice in past series.
The clincher was when earlier AS said to him “Well, this was a food task”, after he tried to play down the adverse significance of the lentil/rice polyfiller.
I was hoping for that rather than the usual contrived “Well, they loved your [shit] product and branding, ordering 20,000”.
Jokers tonight.
Aaron - lazy.
Akeem - perennial rabbit in the headlights.
Brittany - faux American enthusiasm, vacuous.
Two baby food products with shockingly bad branding and blunders.
Then waffling for England to try to dig themselves out of it with Ocado, no honesty/humility.
Worst pool of candidates, ever?
As “the process” gets towards the end, AS often seems to take a shine to contenders he’s firing.
I wonder if he acts as a business angel to people in general away from the show?
Loved this Silverstone episode, many candidates are back to their incompetent best.
Load of genuine laugh out load moments - the hopeless negotiating, Nick and Akshay’s pathetic catering, Karren’s stares.
Lots of hiding behind my hands, at their presentations.
You’re Fired was far better than normal. So funny, they took the p@ss out of previously unseen stuff in the prison game. Worth a watch on iplayer.
I still love the Apprentice, but the winning team and orders bit smells contrived.
Often both products and all marketing seems shit x 2.
I’d love a week of zero orders and everyone called back, packing out the cafe :lolol:
We watch it just for the p@sstake - the never-ending incompetence and also for the team arguments/:catfight:’s.
We need a losing female team to get that going.
I have zero interest in the eventually successful business proposition.
I suspect a couple of females will come to the fore. The 8...
Nick Showering’s been shite two weeks in a row, plus he’s devoid of faux charisma, a rabbit in the headlights.
If called back to the boardroom, the boot I think.
Sugar/the production team will want to retain talkative/argumentative idiots.
