Agreed. I'm guessing Yves will be given the evening off after AFCON and Lallana and Mac might get a half each or something. Mwepu out as well, but i'm still totally confident that we'll put out a midfield which will be competitive with anything Spurs put out

To me, Lallana is the one I'd be rotating in and out for MacAllister. Similar players, need to manage Adam's minutes. Lallana obvious a level above in the centre circle, but Alexis looks like he'd have more goals in him

Clearly a proper player in there. A bit inconsistent and occasionally loose. You just think that if he got a run of games and stayed fit, he'll be a very good player in a year or so

Don't agree with this. Playing inferior players as they may be better as defending set pieces instead of playing better players which means you'll have fewer set pieces to defend is backwards thinking and I don't buy it's part of the thinking. If Moder was a Soucek, win everything style...

Also MacAllister is prepared to get into the box. He's done several David Platt style late runs into the box and got on the end of stuff. He has a better goalscoring record than any of our midfielders. Though I still wouldn't call it a good goalscoring record. Get him in the side
