I saw a Beatles tribute group, I don't think it was Bootleg Beatles though. We were in a smallish venue (about 200 people) it had a low ceiling and the group were on a low stage and their heads were close to the ceiling. Great atmosphereand great musicians and vocals. A very positive experience.
I think the illegal eagles were very good as well . They sort of sum it up £20 in a great little venue or £90 (if you can get one) in a massive park where you need binoculars. No choice for me the first option much better IMO
Amazed at how dismissive some people are of tribute acts , sure some of them are not very good but others are very good. Some are very close musically though its the quality of the lead vocal that often makes or breaks them. What you don't get is the original stars(though line ups do change)...
