Reminds me - it seems bizarre how Lingard has stayed at Man Utd. They have Rashford, Cavani, Martial, Ronaldo, Greenwood and Sancho. How is Lingard going to get a game?
I'm sure there's lots of good reasons....and I expect we have a good relationship with Stoke (obviously we've sent Ostigard there). I very much doubt we would simply abandon a young guy (new to the UK) in Stoke!
Good one. The club has a long term strategy. It's easy to see what that is, even if there isn't a glossy document setting it all out. There are lots of very good football brains and analytical skills at the club. I trust them to get most things right.
Yes, but is Origi available? He wouldn't be cheap....could we afford him? And would you pay in excess of £15m for Edouard (and - by all accounts - £70k p/w for the next 4 years)?
I'll give you Armstrong - he may turn out to be a decent signing :-)
Would have been great to get another striker in, but as we all know, decent Premier League-ready strikers are like hen's teeth, unless you have pockets much deeper than ours. If you look around the EPL, how many teams have brought in a striker? I had a look at the list for my own benefit mainly...
