    most of the new ones are on elastic bands! not difficult to bolt them on . . .I've just bought a pair of ever ready 70's ones, going to try and upgrade them to LED and fit to the cow horns on my new cruising project bike!

    totally agree . . .I nearly hit a kid recently . . . nearly chased after him to offer him a set of lights, you can buy little LED ones for less than a tenner.

    We all did our cycling proficiency when we were about 9-10 . . . only then were we allowed to cycle to school. . most cars were horse powered then so things were a little slower/quieter.

    That's exactly how I cycled with my son. For a while I thought he was getting into it, but having spent a small fortune on a nice MTB he lost interest . . . 5 miles to school, he did it twice and decided it was too much like hard work.

    I agree, although happy to see toddlers on bikes on the pavement until Dad takes off the stabilisers. . .

    Powered vehicles belong on the road. Anything over walking speed. Pavements are for padestrians.

    You need a license and all the trimmings to ride a 50cc moded . . . . in reality, what is the difference . . . .its a powered vehicle.

    Same as mobility scooters, restricted to 8mph or whatever it is . . .if you want to do 30mph get a lid, license No plate and insurance
