Good summary.
Must admit, I’ve been on and off the fence so much with Trossard. Off it at the moment - hopefully he’ll kick on next year.
Not a great believer in luck though, normally the ball goes where you hit it.

I’m sure growing up it was more frequent.
Didn’t Michael Robinson score near that or surpass it for us?
Andy Ritchie got about 14, which is what I would expect given the chances we create.

Welbeck was free. When he’s on the pitch he has class, never scored a great amount throughout his career.
I don’t rate Maupay and as a forward do not think he’s decent. Better than Locadia granted. In fact he is a lot better outside the box than in it.
I don’t agree as I said.
Edit - re...
Then we’ll have to disagree around the forwards. If we’d signed a decent one during the last two years, given the chances we create, we’d be a lot better off.

I thought you were comparing Maupay with Welbeck (apologies).
But it depends if you think marginally avoiding relegation is success, so in terms of goals a failure IMO.
We got Murray in the championship, so not a PL recruitment.

Less expectation fee wise with Welbeck I would suggest.....
Fee wise could have been plus add-ons, the truth is none of us know. Sky stated around £20m as I say...... I doubt if it would be £16m full stop, but I don’t know either.
Still £20m with add-ons according to Sky.....
And as per our previous discussion a few months ago, I think 9 goals per season is not great for a striker.
Our recruitment with forwards have been a failure since we made the PL - IMO.
I don’t rate Maupay particularly, but.......
This sums it up perfectly. He absolutely worked his bits off for the good of the team, and was given next to no protection from one of the PLs worst referees.
I don’t blame him either....
