    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

That Brian Rix is simply marvellous. I'll end with some music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVDYEyq45bg

Given the clementness of the weather, yes, yes I did :wave:

Brilliant. Thanks for the post

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

That's quite tricky. I was looking at the boundaries on my deeds but without proper disclosure of dimensions it's anyone's guess. I have a horrible feeling that supporting documents may well reside in the offices of a solicitor or bank....I bought and downloaded two documents from the deeds site...

I draw the line at THPP impersonations ???

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Just back from having a chat. Turns out she wanted the gate left open so that her friends can wander in on their own past he back of our house, because she was concerned about disturbing us by walking round the back of our house to let her friends in via the gate. We told her that we don't mind...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Thanks. Interesting. As I posted, the arrangement is explicitly in return for a financial contribution to upkeep (never paid nor asked for) and, until Covid, I didn't have problems and, until I put the gate up (and gave her a key) didn't have any carping from the neighbour. He main gripe...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Quite. But contrary to the opinion of some, I'm not a vindictive b'stard. Anyway, the ultimate sanction will be me, sunbathing, by the back gate, on my own property, out of the sight of the outside world, stark bollock naked. If only the weather would warm up.

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Indeed. But it is her right of way, not a right of way for her friends. It has been in use by her friends (with my tacit acceptance) only during Covid. And she is supposed to have been paying for its upkeep as part of the conditions of the right of way. I am hoping she will agree to opening the...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

No, quite. Absolutely. I walked away yesterday before voices were raised. In our aborted attempt to speak to the woman a few minutes ago, I asked Mrs T whether we should go round the back, or knock on her front door. Mrs T said 'round the back, but let's ask her to come out and open the gate...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Brilliant :laugh: We just knocked on the old bat's door and she's not in. Mrs T now tells me that she didn't reply when she offered her 2.00 today. FFS.

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Thanks for that. I have found the facts in the deeds (see a post above) but I am hopeful it won't come down to a legal dispute. She's an interesting person with whom our relations have always been cordial, but she expects people to fall in line with her wishes. She recently mooted moving the...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

Quite interesting from the deeds: From an agreement made in 1955, around 60 years after the houses were built: "SUBJECT to a right of way for the owners and occupiers for the time being of (my neighbour) over the track way at the rear of the dwellinghouse ....and over the passageway between (my...

    [Help] Annoying neighbour dispute

A request for advice. I have done some research online and am pretty sure I am on the right path (ho ho) but would appreciate correction if I'm wrong. I have an end terrace house in a small block of houses. My immediate neighbour has personal access round the back of my house for taking out the...
