Just an update. I took the plunge today and ordered some Berghaus Explorer gtx boots. 20% off the Jacamo website at the moment so saved me almost £30.

Are they quite solid/rigid or flexible.

My current pair are MW and only 6 months in are falling apart all over and very lumpy. Maybe I was just unlucky

I was like that but since first lockdown I have packed in cigarettes and alcohol, and have been working from home since then. It is an escape for me and I live a few minutes walk from the south downs.
