Of course that's a possibility and in my longer version reply (which i binned because no one likes/reads long replies) I had penned something to the effect that I would give Potter the benefit of the doubt of his tactics if his plan was to conserve Mac Alister but there in lies a conundrum, we...
We did win so ultimately that's all that counts but for me he took off Alzate & Mac Alister too early. Proper had done little before the swaps and was surely a better candidate to go. The players that came on did nothing to improve their confidence if that was an objective , we learned...
I thought the same. I would have given him another 10 mins and Alzate as who knows what that deflection would have done for his confidence. The only plus , I guess, is that he is being 'saved' for Fulham game. I would have brought Khadra on just to see what he was like. Potter has proven he can...
Tau doesn't look promising on the channel I am watching.
Alzate doesn't look right (in the close of him) but still is moving ball forward.
Looks like we have someone who can take a decent corner, need to get someone who can head the ball in.
Well Tau's control is poor.
Burn is making mistakes and not learning.
Proper shows why anyone thinking he should be part of a midfield 2 really need to give their head a wobble.
Connolly and Maupay are streets ahead of Tau , in work rate and defending at top of the pitch.
