Maupay took his first time and hit it straight at the keeper. Should he have taken a touch? :lolol:.

I think the penny might have finally dropped that if a team is packing the box and there is nothing on, we might as well have a go from distance. We’ve seen this consistently against Leeds, Newport, City and Blackpool. The result - three goals and some near misses. We have players like...

I thought Blackpool were excellent in the first half, defended their box really well and broke with numbers. Our second goal meant they had to come out and play and we punished the space on the transition more and more as the game went on. Could have been four or five in the end.

Shh. We established earlier that you are not allowed to give opponents credit.

City drawing with Cheltenham, Sheffield United beating Plymouth by a single goal, Wolves beating Chorley with their only shot on target. It was exactly the same last round. It’s almost like smaller teams raise their game in the cup. I wonder if Nunez, Guadiola abd Wilder get the same shit ???.

Yep, you’re probably right. Too many manic depressives here

We need the right player at the right price within the wage structure. Other clubs interested and the agent seems a dick. It’s really not that simple.

But we haven’t signed an extra striker. I can go through the squad with you on DM if keeping up is too much of a challenge.

Well it does help you to form a balanced opinion, something severely lacking from the perennial whingers.

Caciedo and the Poles from the U23 budget. I appreciate a lot of you have a weird expectation of an instant fix but we can’t compete with teams like Benfica for players like Nunez. The club has set it’s stall out. We are looking to sign young talent and develop it. Seems incredibly sensible to me

Because that was who was available in our price range? We we’re strongly linked with Dia, Watkins and Nunez but sadly, it’s not Football Manager.

When we gave Villa a game away at Villa Park when we are a league one side was it because they were shit? When we drew 2-2 at Anfield, beat them 2-1 in ‘83 and 2-0 in ‘84 was it them not turning up? We’re those wins against Newcastle when we were in the Championship simply about the Toon having...

It’s so bloody tedious, a bit unhealthy and a little bit sad. One thing that always pisses me off Is this board rarely if ever gives the opposition credit. They’ve done their homework, executed the game plan well and caused us problems at times. It’s the cup FFS!

Definitely the managers fault that a Dutch international played a sloppy pass. Definitely.
