Our defence has improved in terms of goals per game conceded since Lamptey has been injured, but that injury coincides with Sanchez coming in to permanently replace Ryan. I think defensive improvement probably has more to do with the latter.
Yeh, penalty counts for 0.75 of that. Although I reckon that the psychological effect of having a big keeper filling the goal in front of you shouldn't be underestimated.
He needs to come for that IMO, even if it would’ve meant flattening Dunk in the process. His confidence to assert authority in his 6 yard box should grow with every game however.
For the stattos, he’s conceded 5 goals in his 4 games and the total xG against in those games was exactly 5, so he’s...
Reckon he could/should have come for the ball on the corner. Needs to build the confidence to dominate his 6 yard box, even if it does mean smashing into his captain to either claim or get a strong punch away.
He's hopefully got the worst mistake he'll ever make out of the way early on in his career, and fortunately for him in a game where his team were 2-0 up deep into injury time. Fast forward to about 1-45 on the link below:

Sheff Utd’s xG today was 1.04 - I was surprised it was as high TBH - so he just about performed above expectations.
Depressing ours was 2.90. The only game this season it’s been higher was against Man Utd.
Is Wiki correct in saying that he signed in 2013 as a 15 year old? I had no idea he’d been at the club so long. That was a year before the academy had even opened and we started signing all these young players from around the county and further afield.
I hate being right about my criticism of any Brighton player, never mind such a popular pro like Ryan, but there’s no way he should be letting that ball through his hands. He doesn’t dominate his area, and he doesn’t save shots. What does he do other than make the defence nervous?
