I think the Premier League need to build a fund for the Championship where clubs can apply on a basis of need. The same owners that cooked up FFP avoidance schemes around selling their Stadiums back to themselves etc should be not be considered for help.
With us and West Ham ‘out’, we just need 5 more teams to veto the plan in it’s current form.
I can see sides like Burnley, Leicester, Newcastle, Leeds & Villa all rejecting this.
Positives:
- Parachute payments scrapped (I’d love to see money distributed equally amongst all 72 clubs.)
- League Cup & Community Shield abolished. (Maybe just have them for the football league?).
- £250m rescue fund immediately available.
- £100m paid to the FA for lost revenue.
