.....and trying to be that beacon leads to a % of our fan base publicly wailing about how the club’s recruitment policy is ‘shocking’ and ‘taking us down’ because we won’t spunk 30m (and probably North of 70k a week) on a striker
Almost certainly........simple really....reiterating that the 14.95 is for games that wouldn’t have been available to view otherwise (other than illegally).
Possible (Barber’s crass comment aside) that people are perhaps judging a bit too soon ? Up until 3 weeks ago the club were reasonably expecting to have some fans back in the ground so the position they have taken re refunds etc was ok. Since then, that’s been kyboshed, and a hastily-arranged...
Because you can't cancel it.......you're contractually bound to pay the full amount...............
Really do think the club needs to have a refund option for those in difficulty. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this in the next Barber missive.
That's a tricky one....what to compare it with ??
Boxing PPV ? (£20-24)
Cinema ticket (£10-15)
Match ticket (£25-£50)
Downloaded Sky movie (£5)
How long before the pricing gets adjusted if this becomes the norm ?
Liverpool v Man U - £50
Burnley v West Brom - 30p
????
Good point.......I suspect Sky/BT are DELIGHTED that a PPV option is going to be put in place - will be nothing to stop this continuing post-Covid (and many will be delighted to be able to watch games they otherwise couldn't) but it's only a short step from that to fewer and fewer games being...
I’m saving at least £200/mth (petrol, grub, away tickets etc) all the time we can’t attend matches (and that’s without my ST refund) so I’ll probably wear the 14.95 to watch a game (likely with at least 2-3 other STHs).
I guess in simple terms, for the foreseeable future each game is going to...
Spot on - think people are missing this in their rush to flame everyone. Less than a month ago it was looking like we might be back at the beginning of October so the current setup is still reflective of that. Fully expect the club to come up with further pragmatic plans/options over the coming...
OK in principle but no-one has made a payment specific to the WBA game for their ST.................total cost of ST is divided by 12 (for those on DD). The real problem the club has is not knowing when they can get people back in - if it had been October as planned, it's quite possible the 6...
The personal circumstances point is a good one.................and hasn't really been addressed in any comms. You'd hope the club are looking at ways to alleviate that.
