This is just crazy. As you said you don't own the box so why are you responsible for its repair etc?
Luckily i'd never had a problem but there's no way I would have paid for repairs / a new box etc if it was needed to obtain the service. I suspect this is something they try and get away with...
I just found that we very very rarely ever watched things live with our busy lifestyle at the moment. Always plenty to watch on demand so its a nice little saving.
For live Albion games, i'll either be there if its at home or at the pub / round a mates if its on Sky/BT.
I cancelled in Feb after over 10 years with them after the best price they could offer was a 15% increase. Didnt get a single offer to stay so I'd agree with this.
We decided to change to watching things on demand now (excluding BBC iPlayer) which has allowed us to cancel TV licence too saving...
I renegotiated with SKY as my previous contract ends next month following a previous 18 month agreement. I have been with them c8 years now.
As per usual said I want to cancel to speak to the retentions team who give the best discounts but this year I was removing sports as I'm now using DAZN...
