So no live TV, live sports whatsoever?
It's a big move to save £159 per year. I've cut a huge amount of services out of our subscriptions, but I'd miss being able to watch a bit of live sport - like falling asleep last night watching the snooker! :D.

If you're playing hardball on a new deal and you really can accept leaving if they don't get their price low enough, you can buy a decent HD recorder that does what Tivo does for under £200. Virgin charge at least £20 pcm or so for their TV package over and above the BB. 18 month contract that...
I share various logins for streaming stuff. My bro-in-law shares his BTSport and SkyGo with me which I watch through my Son's Xbox, we share Netflix and Prime with them. TIVO was good, especially the wishlist for recording anything by a particular director, or actor, but the more readily...
I even ditched the TV box! Just BB, plus we have VM sim mobiles, I get my sim + BB for £32 pcm. Freeview on the TV. Honestly, what does their TV box/Package really get you that you actually watch? My TV allows me to connect an HD and record stuff.
I'm now Sky but had Virgin Tivo up until recently, and to be honest both are shite really, I much prefer my LG smart TV OS interface, which as said above I'm now using far more than the Sky box. Time to bin all the big boys off for me once the current contract is up.
So I'm in the middle of a Sky deal where I paired it right down to a landline (I work from home so thought I needed it really), broadband, and the basic TV package, which included Netflix as an offer and it is about £40pcm. I'm now halfway through and thinking we don't even need the TV package...
