I don't think it does still stand because as I understand it everyone will have an equal chance of winning in the ballot whether they are in a group or not. To be able to add people who were unsuccessful would mean some are more equal than others as they had two bites at the cherry.

I agree. That could be a problem for some people. I have a lot of sympathy with the club in this situation but have deep reservations with the notion that the only way of ensuring entry would be through mobile phones. I believe that's an infringement of liberty.
How are people taking a leak at half-time in particular, but also other busy times, going to socially distance? I am not keen on being crammed into either a train or concourse but I will go to a game or two if I can get to the match by car, but at my age I need a pee at half-time!
