Obviously subject to better replacements.
I didn’t mean that all four must go this summer. Just a genuine question to Swansman (and anyone else) how they felt about those four individuals with regard to TB’s ambition for the club to be much higher up the table.
If you were Dan Ashworth and TB gave you another great budget this summer, with the aim of finishing 9th to 12th next season, would you listen to offers for:
Propper
Gross
Montoya
Mooy
The vast majority seem to have their favourites amongst Propper, Gross, Montoya and Mooy. Almost a crime to mention repeated failings in any one of them.
They can’t all be a top ten/higher mid table players, if we’ve fallen short, failed to win the vast majority of our matches and diced with...
This.
So many examples, but one being that notorious match at Molyneux in April 19. Unbelievable close reflexes in preventing a 4-0 win for Wolves. Literally kept us up, in hindsight.
I haven’t written Jahanbakhsh off just yet. Some signs this season that there’s a PL in there.
Separately, will Montoya accept missing out to a youngster?
The club may look strategically, but I look a season ahead at the very most.
If next season Potter plays him in the first team, I have faith in that.
Of course, any first 11 other than $$$$ Real Madrid, Bayern and ManC would improve by upgrading any first teamer in an ideal world. Can we...
I was a Propper doubter, not as extreme as you, but he’s won me over under Potter.
Off the top of my head, immense as a sub at Leicester, brilliant in our 3-3 comeback at West Ham.
Yes I know he doesn’t skin the opposition, we know many players don’t have that pace.
The problem tonight is...
Not based on tonight in the slightest:
Montoya. Not what we want from a FB and will he take an entire season as reserve to a 19 year old?
Gross.
All squads evolve, we won’t keep every senior player, even if 2/3’s of supporters are sentimental.
