I agree he was never given a chance at Norwich, as for being a bit duplicitous, Bloom is a shrewd business man and will always have a plan B up his sleeve.
He had a dispute with Harry Findlay over money and cut him from his StarLizard enterprise, Bloom is mercenary, he makes money. Good only...
Hughton's inability to adapt and change was his downfall, he did the same at Norwich, ironically he was doing okay at Newcastle then they sacked him, I think they were 12th at the time.
Bloom and Barber were already ringing the changes as far back as January 2019, Ashworth was on his way and...
I kind of agree with you both, but isn't it time we moved away from thinking we can't compete and take a leaf from Bloom's book and aspire to be top ten,
Bloom's ambitions are far from modest and who knows he may be engineering something even greater than promotion to the PL.
The next couple...
As stated yonks ago, Hughton had lost the players, the back end of last season was dreadful, and sad to see players giving up, Bournemouth and Cardiff was shocking stuff..
Interestingly, Hughton in his first 33 games in the PL, we scored an average of 1.82, but here is the interesting bit we conceded 1.92 so more than Potter.
Hughton first 33 games, shots Av.12.08, shots faced a staggering Av.28.25, how the **** did we not get relegated?
So the old adage of...
Agreed, we do look like we will stay up know, predictions like the weather are just forecasts and not always reliable, Leicester winning the league who predicted that, oh the supporter who backed them @1000/1
Referring back to the OP the football world owes us nothing, least of all an apology...
Who's defending Hughton? It was time to say goodbye sadly, we were appalling the players had stopped playing for whatever reason and he failed to turn it round, but the football world still doesn't owe us an apology.
Who really gives a flying fig about the so called pundits, I certainly...
I agree we were there in May but we stayed up in 17th position, Hughton was sacked the day after Man City ripped us a new one, Eddie Howe looks like he could take Bournemouth down?
If Bournemouth do stay up like we managed to do, we don't know if Bournemouth will off load him, chances are they...
From this...
Man Utd finished 6th we finished 17th..
To this...
Bournemouth finished 14th
Something went horribly wrong from February onwards, the players stopped performing for whatever reason, there were times when they couldn't even find a striped shirt to pass the ball too,
appalling...
I can't argue with that, it is the net spend since we got promoted, but very much doubt if Hughton or Potter had the final say on any player purchases.
As a supporter I pay my money and if I feel Hughton or Potter deserve criticism I will give it, football is all about opinions.
I commented...
I agree, but we did manage 15th position under Hughton I seem to remember, and yes it was time for him to go, a nod of recognition maybe but certainly not an apology.
I think we were all a bit shocked at his sacking although not surprised.
In my opinion I think we need to wait a few seasons...
I agree with both of you, Hughton was sacked because of the dire performances at the back end of last season it was the right time for him to go, but prior to that debacle we had beaten Man Utd, West Ham, Wolves, Palace and Everton all at home last season.
This season we have lost at home to...
