Not really appropriate I'd have thought. One for Amazon - or it would be if they currently had any way of a human customer being able to speak to a human customer service rep - or at worst one for the credit card company

Good call! That's exactly what it is. Second package arrived this morning. Out of curiosity I opened them both. One contained an ancient USB connector, the other contained a dozen cheapo unbranded mousemats. That's classic brushing scam right there! Have changed my Amazon password and will check...

Cheers, tho an Amazon chatbot is just that - a chatbot. Due to corona etc. the option of being passed from a chatbot to a human is not operational, and the chatbox isn't built to do anything other than answer the dumbest of queries

Easier said than done. Looks like you can request a Returns Label for one of your own orders (once you've logged into your account) but not for somebody else's order. And amazon seem incredibly coy about giving out their customer service email, tho there seems to be a whole load of middlemen who...

My inclination for now is just to sling it in a corner and forget about it. I guess at some point Amazon will either reinstall some form of human-based customer service or I'll get some form of scrawled communication from the numpty. Probably only lives about 3 doors away, tho may as well live...
