I saw someone say this week that it appears promising to enforce draconian anti-immigration rules is way more popular than actually doing it, this appears to be a case in point.
Not just that, but if someone puts themselves forward as a scientist then gets things my 7 year old cousin could correct them on wrong then it's hard to take much else they have to say seriously.
People rallying round the Government is usual in times of crisis such as this, however personally I'm sensing a change in the public mood. I'm seeing a lot of people who never express political opinions attacking the Government right now, and not just on social media.

By the same token you might just as well ask how much worse it could have been if we'd put the Chuckle Brothers in charge. The fact is they are the Government, they make the decisions and they carry the can if it goes wrong. That's how leadership works.
I went for Poor rather than Very Poor purely because in the end they listened, albeit far, far too late. It wouldn't have surprised me if they'd tried to go full Trump on it.
