I don’t know if when this is all over if there will be an opportunity to pay any grant not used back, or if the Government will claw any back through tax. I’m not entirely comfortable with the idea that I could profit by a substantial ( to me) amount from this tragedy.

Yeah, right on both counts. This money will save my business, I can’t see we would possibly survive without it as I think lockdown for cafes , restaurants etc will be the last lifted. I’m not claiming anything else, UC, etc as I will just take what I need from the business, and pay the staff...

I don’t pay rates, small business grant. It was granted on Monday, the bank only released it last night.
