The approach was a lot more subtle than the ‘take it on the chin’ rhetoric though. The ‘young’ and ‘80% asymptomatic’ were meant to be the ones taking it on the chin whilst the elderly and vulnerable were shielded protecting the NHS and fattening the curve.
