I totally agree. I said before that there is plenty of material to throw back at Boris without needing flights of fancy. I think the last gasp comment was hateful, it came back to bite him though, almost in the worst possible way.

That article is just rubbish. I watched the PM on live tv. The context in which he said 'take it on the chin' was ignored. The article says that it was ignored, there was a reaction on here and elsewhere about his comment. This is from the Mirror who quoted him at the time over a month ago...

Nonsense. There was a lot of talk on TV and in the papers about various ways of approaching the crisis. Johnson would have listened to all ideas as any leader would have. You keep repeating a lie if you like if it makes you feel better, it is your choice.

It is powerful. It is unsubstantiated though, although it may well be true. The thing that would swing me towards it being made up is that it is appearing various places in social media in the same way fake news does and in my view is a convenient way to get a political opinion across.
