    Boris in hospital

So did Boris leave ICU on Good Friday, discharged from hospital on Easter Sunday? Glad our PM is on the mend.

    Boris in hospital

Best wishes Spence! Have you seen that video of the doctor giving the breathing techniques to clear the lungs? Some like hold your breath after a deep inhale for 5 secs and do that 5 times then on the 5th exhale do a big cough. Also, avoid lying on your back if you can, you want to be lying on...

Don't disagree if the poster hadn’t been the one complaining about posts that cause responses and disagreements. Glass houses and all that.

Your own post is why threads get derailed in a nutshell, some people, regardless of the pedestal they think they’re on, can’t help themselves.

    Boris in hospital

I don't really think you have anything to apologise for. All that week the government PR machine was posting pictures of Boris chairing meetings via video link, fully working, very mild symptoms etc. etc. It was a legitimate question of what was being presented as to why he wasn't giving a press...

It would seem this is the most likely (and obvious) answer. So worth posting for those struggling with the concept.

You'd think from the government press briefings he is the most well person to have ever required ICU care.

It's not even clear Boris has authority to pass his power to his Deputy. I think that's why so far it's been "passed certain responsibilities to Raab". There isn't actually an Office of Deputy PM is there, so constitutionally we're on very murky ground, and various deputy PMs have had different...

    Boris in hospital

Yes, what is clearly at the front of everyone's minds is mutually assured destruction. The Mail and Express readers lap him up. I bet there are a few on here that hang on his every word too...

    Boris in hospital

It’s been the press briefings favourite word, even 5pm today Raab was talking like he was in hospital as a precaution let alone admitted to ICU a couple of hours later.

    Boris in hospital

Time to be upfront with the people now. Start telling us how it is. None of this ‘precautionary’ nonsense - he went to hospital because he’s clearly ill and people were worried. Even at 5 pm today Raab talked like he was still leading as it was precautionary. I even saw he’d gone into ICU...

Too much? I’m obviously no Frankie Boyle. Get well soon Boris. And of course everyone else facing a difficult time.

Keep your knickers on it’s only precautionary, probably to avoid further press briefings...:moo:
