The Nose Throat and Ear Hospital, Church St. above Queens Road. I had my tonsils out there as a small boy. I am sure there must be more memories.

Just seeing if there is still interest in this thread. Western Road 1902 , the flags are out for King Edward vii coranation.
Today… it struck me how the road was widened and then narrowed for reduced traffic flow.
Old Mill Mews ….Near to the junction of The Upper Drive , Dyke Road and HighCroft Villas there stood a windmill in late Victorian times . It was not then built up but on the edge of town .
The thing had once stood further down town but was moved, dragged by 86 oxen , quite a sight as this...
Over at Portslade ,( it has aBN postcode) The old Rothbury cinema, Franklyn Rd. Personal memories of being taken as a small boy , then a bit later the Saturday morning kids shows where the man walked the aisle and shone his torch on you if you misbehaved.
Today it is just offices .

Queens Gardens 1928 … no cars , children play in the street . A different age.
Today… the houses have been done up , the corner newsagent is now a Mexican eatery and an ugly waste bin takes prominence.
