Hello everyone. Visiting my 89year old mum today. Phone rang so I picked it up. An American woman said she had booked the flight to Miami and my mother now owed her $500 dollars. This was to be paid immediately and she wanted to know the bank details WTF??? Needless to say what my response was.
I currently have 81 scam calls saved on my mobile phone.
I get at least 2 a day ranging from Dublin/Edinburgh/Birmingham/London/Liverpool and everywhere in between.
When I get to 100 I delete them and start again.
I have done this at least twice this year.
Recent ones from O2, Virgin, and 077...
Harry, I had the same email about a no fault accident (car bumped into my car while I was parked)
It was AX insurance btw.
Looks genuine but if anyone contacts me asking for the password I will tell them to bugger off :moo:
Got a text today from 'HMRC' informing me that they owed me a rebate from last year and wanted my details.
Obviously a scam as Tax Office only inform you by letter so I deleted it.
This has happened every January for the past three years since I packed up work.
Feck Off
:)
I've received nine scam calls to my home phone and mobile in the last two days.
I never answer them because I don't recognise the numbers.
But when you are ill it's a pain in the arse getting up and down.
I cannot say what I would do with the people that are behind these calls because I would be...
Last year Virgin charged me for three phone calls to Spain. Told them I don't know anyone in Spain. They investigated it and said someone had definitely phoned Spain from my mobile. Ended up paying over £25.00
Fffffsake!
