One a couple weeks ago - heavy American accented recorded stating "this is your banks fraud department calling. Message rambled on for a bit then offered various options including speaking to their attorney. Didn't fall for it.
Had a call on my mobile last Saturday morning - no attempt at disguising either number (standard land line) or location (Tyneside appeared on my screen) and a female voice said that she knew that I had recently been a road accident. I hadn't and cut her off. Seemed a bit of crap attempt at a scam.
My morning electronic voice from "Amazon" is becoming so regular that I miss receiving it if they don't call. As my job involves me receiving perfectly legitimate "unknown" callers I always pick up.
