Bought a box at Lidl in Burgess Hill yesterday afternoon (we were out completely, not stockpiling !), plenty on the shelves then.

Cheaper than boxes of tissues (one theory I've heard for the panic buying of it)..................fact the virus doesn't really give you a runny nose either kind of debunks that as well though........

Think it’s patchy. Loads on social media today of more extreme ****wittery continuing. 1000 people estimated to have been queuing outside of one Tesco in the Midlands, so early that NHS staff couldn’t get in for their golden hour of shopping.

...either that, or run out of space to put anything else ! Some people must have spare rooms stuffed full of pasta and bogroll.

Just popped into Lidl in Burgess Hill on the way home from a walk. All very calm.......plenty of fresh fruit, veg, meat etc etc on the shelves - some things all gone obviously but plenty there to choose from. Car park half full or so, no queues at the tills. Hopefully people are starting to calm...

They should just lock up all the larger trolleys. One small trolley or basket per person. Simple.

It's happening.....................:( Mrs D has just been to the local Tesco, and stocks on the WINE and BEER shelves are starting to get low (plus shelves completely stripped of non-essentials like potatoes, pasta, bogroll etc).

Tesco yesterday had no bogroll, no dry pasta, no hand sanitiser, no tinned tomatoes or tomato puree, very lttle other tinned stuff and a lot of the fresh fruit and veg was low/empty. Later went into Waitrose and it was the same. Some people must now have months worth of stuff hoarded. Read in...
