Anyone Happy To Admit To Panic Buying/Stockpiling?

One good thing about the thicko's stockpiling is that they tend to be the type that eat frozen brown shapes, leaving all the nice fresh produce for more discerning shoppers. Like me. I do have a few packs of moules in a white wine sauce that I picked up in Lidl back in March stored in the chest...

Anyone Happy To Admit To Panic Buying/Stockpiling?

Had to mix with the ghastly council estate gammons in Asda today. Shelves nearly bereft of anything that one could conceivably wipe the rim of one’s muck-hole with. There were some packs of four left. Only a few and rather base in design. Only two-ply, quite grainy in texture and void of any...

Hopefully supermarkets will really stop and shame the selfish stockpilers this time. Empty shelves was the most stressful part of the lockdown.

I go straight for the filtered stuff. Got 6 pints for £3.20 (in two 3pnt bottles). And there was loads left.

Just had a look online and it appears it is only illegal to sell above 100 in one transaction.

I think the law focuses on the amount of pills (29 I think, not sure) that you can but at any one time. They would have been breaking the law selling above the legal limit so must have been 8 in box or summat.

Anyone Happy To Admit To Panic Buying/Stockpiling?

Ah! Yes, despicable behaviour. I bought four boxes over two days as I get headaches on night shifts sometimes if suffering from shift-lag at the start or end of a shift rotation. When I went to get them in Asda the shelf appeared empty but I got down on my haunches and both days there was a...

They can only be buying 29 paracetamol pills in one go. They won’t be grabbing loads at one time, you simply can’t get away with it. More likely the same people who need it regularly coming back to get two boxes a day.

Anyone Happy To Admit To Panic Buying/Stockpiling?

Popped out to an Asda at about 8.30. Things seem to be returning to a sense of normalcy. Security guy on the door controlling people trying to pile in, which was not needed as it was a reasonable, steady flow of people being courteous to one another. On the whole shelves were fairly well...

Supermarkets should take away all the trolleys. Just leave baskets.

Anyone Happy To Admit To Panic Buying/Stockpiling?

I have family in China and got a fairly early heads up that this was a more serious virus than expected so started buying a bit extra a few weeks ago. Plus had a fair bit stocked for No Deal. I only did one big shop which will see me through for a month if required, longer if I ration it...
