Went to Waitrose, several aisles completely empty. Only wanted 00 flour, but there was no flour of any description. Went to my local Italian delicatessen and asked them for 00. They asked me how many bags. Lovely service. Picked up some nice other pieces, including Nduja. Shop local and shop small.

I haven’t but I think this is a natural consequence of some people’s fears. We all handle the pressure in different ways. If we are at risk of running out of supplies then a way to partially resolve it is for the govt to impose quantity restrictions on supermarkets selling. Won’t stop the really...
