1 forward up front on their own, particulary someone of Maupay's size, is not a lot of use either. I agree the midfield needed re-energising, but not at the expense of less options up front. It was a negative move which backfired.

Yeah lets go from 2 forwards to 1 to 'boost the attack'. Great move that was. Why even bother bringing on Murray! Lets just agree to disagree, because there's no way I can see that substituion as being a move by Potter which gave us more attacking intent.

Bisouma instead of Stephens and Ali instead of Connolly.

A good attacking move is to bring off an forward and bring on a defender? We were sitting back because of less attacking options. At home and taking off a forward for a defender is pretty bad.

Yes it was, Alzate pushed further up on the right. But who is there to aim at? And Alzate was doing well at RB so why change it?! Poor substition IMHO.

I didn't like the defensive subsitution by Potter. Should have brought on AJ for Connolly, not Montoya. Villa were there for the taking and now we are on the back foot. EDIT: No surprise, Villa score..

Bernardo shouldn't really be second choice though, he's easily the best LB in the squad.
