this is where the campaign starts to lose people. to the vast majority driving isnt anti-social, its a vital part of living, not an optional extra. whether it is or not is besides the point, it will just rile people against the causes.

raise revenue or cut traffic, which do you want? this is the foolish path, it seeks to do two conflicting objectives at once and will achieve neither properly.
the poster child Ghent allows deliveries up to 11am, so residents would have pay for am delivery and shops arrange likewise or evening. we already go to out of town retail parks for a TV or sofas anyway.
its a fine idea as long as provision is made for trades and delivery. not sure how buses would fit, though they should be moved to electric solving the pollution aspect.
