Just seems odd that anybody should oppose making the centre of town a far more pleasant place to shop, walk or cycle. Central Brighton is maybe half a mile across, probably less. You can get from anywhere to anywhere else on foot in about twenty minutes. How much nicer it would be for people not...
Every single forward-thinking car-free shopping zone in the world will have come up with a perfectly adequate workaround for that old chestnut. Why would Brighton be any different?
