Excellent signing for Forest. I like Lingard, hope he does well there. They've made some very decent signings so far. With a good manager as well, I think they'll be competitive this season and not just nailed on relegation fodder like Norwich last year.

Can’t see it for various reasons but would absolutely love it if he came here. Excellent player and despite lazy sterotyping saying otherwise, a decent character and pro. Like Welbeck, who also had the same lazy sterotypes labelled to him on his original thread, he would be a fantastic signing.

I'm sorry, I tried to leave it as long as I could, but following on from his brilliant 2 goal display at the weekend, Lingard is now being linked with moves to PSG, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. But we definitely don't want him here do we?!

Another assist and another goal from him tonight including a stunning solo effort. That's 6 goals and 4 assists in 8 Premier League games for, not good enough for Brighton, Jesse Lingard now. I love this thread and the other Lingard one, some brilliant posts.

Still not good enough for 17th place Brighton? Still not as good as the prolific Trossard or Mac Allister?

I really like Mac Allister and Trossard but yes, at the moment I would swap Lingard for either of them. They might go on to bigger and better things than him in their career but currently Lingard is a better, more productive and more consistent performer than both of them. This season alone...

Turns out he’s not a bad player. What a surprise.

Really good signing for West Ham, would have loved us to have got him. But of course according to a lot of fans on here he’s not good enough for Brighton but turns out he is for the team currently 5th in the league.
