Heads up on a lovely EP from the terrific Lanterns On The Lake.
The Realist is a short but sweet work, absolutely lovely.

Went out for a drive today, played this new offering from the brilliant Khruangbin with the volume up, was absolutely delightful in this weather with the wind in the hair.
Might need to turn the bass down a tad, the mix is very high and made the doors vibrate!

Just did a hilly 5 miles on the bike indoors, listening to the new Rumer - Nashville Tears.
The velvet voiced belle sings the songs of Hugh Prestwood. Country music, very gentle and inoffensive.
Made the bike ride easier.
Some may call it melancholic and depressing, some find the tone relaxing and refreshing.
The new Nils Frahm offering, Empty gives a beautiful, sparse and reflective backdrop to the current shenanigans.

Best album of the year so far imho running through the speakers, Lanterns on the Lake with Spook the Herd.
May well be knocked aside later by Agnes Obel, but this album is wonderful. 14 / 16
