    [Music] Albums 2020

I have been trawling the end-of-year lists in search of new (to me) artists and albums and have hit upon these which I thoroughly recommend. Moses Sumney - Græ. Beatrice Dillon - Workaround Tamar Aphek - Russian Winter EP

Bravo. I have very fond memories of him playing a gig, just before Xmas couple of years back, at the location where his studio is. Look forward to listening to this.

My Gorillaz vinyl and cassette package has just arrived. Have to say, the albums get more mad with each release. Mad in a good way though; it’s packed with guest appearances.

I’ll give this a spin. Pleased to see the mighty Molchat Doma included; excellent band. I also feel a bit sorry for them, as they signed to Sacred Bones, had their first two albums re-released on vinyl and were gaining a lot of attention and momentum and also had some decent tours lined up...

There’s a real depth and breadth and chaos to his songs but underpinning everything is a really talented song writer with an ear...

Not new, but recent, is Max Cooper’s excellent Yearning For The Infinite album. I saw him perform this a few months back with quite an incredible multi-dimensional Audio Visual set up. Been listening to the album a lot recently

A new found liking of jazz and wine; 18 year old self would be shocked.

Ha ha. I still have some way to go before I’m a jazz-head but have to say it’s something I’m really enjoying. It’s a brilliant journey so far. I agree about the amorphous element. I have just been reading an interview with Moses and how he was mentored by Four Tet and Floating Points in a...

I am all over this. Had it on repeat since Friday. It really is good...I understand he’s the producer as well. And seeing him on Tuesday.
