He's played 60 games in a side that HAS stayed in the Premier League the last two seasons. Your agenda against him on a day he wasn't involved in any mistakes looked weird.

Well, last season we played Ali J there a fair few times so that wouldn't have helped and, well, to be blunt: Montoya isn't Bruno. But he's the best we have so we have to have faith in him.

Bong wasn't any part of the defeat today. Why the vendetta?

Well, that's one thing we agree on at least. A huge improvement is required. Mostly in squad quality.

Four others are out on loan. Our new Director of Footballing Operations hasn't got a clue what he's doing, it seems.

Better for what, though? We've managed less goals so far than our start to either of the past two seasons. Possession is all well and good, but (as we remember from the Poyet days) if you don't actually do much with it, it's a little pointless?

Pretty much this. My point is more that the vast majority on here spent all summer hyping the manager, the new style and the players as if we're suddenly going to become a top-half team. And utterly slagging anyone who said differently. This is a tough league. Especially when the squad is weak...

Wouldn't get too downhearted today given this is a game we were never going to win. But it's good to see a few people accepting the inevitable now.

The style might be different, but the net result is more or less the same? Still one up front. Still better at the back than going forward. Still hovering just above (but thankfully not in) the relegation zone. Edit: obviously, last season we wouldn't have given a penalty away like that. We'd...

18 shots v 0 Despite the undying optimism on here, it's tough for most to see the revolution from last season to this. Perhaps Potter, like Hughton before him, realises we've nowhere near the quality to compete in footballing with the top half and has been pragmatic. Good for him. Even without...
