  1. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

I am not saying that he wouldn't help out and be an asset numbers wise, certainly on the bench, but in terms of his future development and his value to the club, Alzate needs guaranteed minutes on the pitch. He is 24 now, and not a youngster anymore, but for me these past couple of seasons or...

    [Albion] Alzate

To kick on with his laon club is exactly what he needs to do. Get as many minutes on the pitch as possible. Bring him back for pre-season next year, and let's see what happens. As someone else said, it's totally pointless to brink him back now to warm the bench.

Rapidly becoming the new Jayson Molumby.
  4. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Well l agree that he needs to be out on loan and making regular starts in the hope of progressing, but whether that leads to him featuring regularly for us remains to be seen. Either way l think this is a very big season for Steven Alzate, and his future with Brighton & Hove Albion.
  5. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

I'm sorry but l'm just not convinced by Alzate, he has been in and around the 1st team squad for a few season now, yet he still hasn't made any kind of impact or breakthrough. I get the feeling that if was going to happen then he would have been at the club and making regular starts by now.

Well maybe Gilmour will get his chance sooner than expected, now Enock has gone.
  7. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

At least he would have played games there, every footballer worth his salt will want to do that. at the Albion that's very unlikely to happen now.
  8. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Very much my take on it too, and the last of those Premier League appearances was a fair while ago now. At 23 he should be making more progress than he is. More to this than meets the eye me thinks.
  9. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Probably still searching for their fax machine as we speak.
  10. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Maybe it was more about what went on off the pitch than on it. Alzate's first team appearances seem to have tailed right off last season, and l'm wondering why that was. As you quite rightly say, we don't know it all.
  11. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Well the way that we are playing now, coupled with the points that wea re accumulating, are going to make it difficult for Dunky to get back into the side. It will take a brave man to drop Dan Burn at the moment. I thought he was tremendous last night, a £3m signing from Wigan had the £80m...
  12. Cowfold Seagull

    [Albion] Alzate

Very much this. Considering it was his first ninety minutes in a very long time just adds to the quality of his performance.

    [Albion] Alzate

Well this is thls enforced stoppage at least gives us the perfect opportunity to do such things.
