Yep. I also saw Allison make bad one off errors in his first games for Liverpool before becoming one of the main reasons for their success last season. Like Klopp, I’m able to look beyond that in his first game and for what he gives to the side overall. And to be honest, the first goal was...

Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread *** Agree with all of that. I’m amazed by the negativity on here after we just lost to the best side we’ve ever seen in England and only 3 weeks ago Potter was being lauded as a genius. It’s blindingly obvious to me how...

Yep, all the while playing the most attractive football ever seen. He’s taken the game to another level over the last 11 years. He is probably the best in my opinion but certainly one of the three greatest managers of all time along with Rinus Michels and Arrigo Sachi.

I wouldn’t expect us not to be naive. We’re learning a whole new system and to be honest, how to play football again. It’s going to take time and a lot of coaching for the players to be comfortable with it. Against the top sides like City we will be exposed at times while we’re learning, and...

Did we win 3.0 away to Watford just 3 weeks ago today or did I imagine it?!

And were absolutey dire to watch in those games. This was better, they are just on a different level. We are still learning the new system but it’s clear we’re progressing. The goals will come, we’ve not had a lot of luck in the home games so far but that will change. I’m confident we will tear...

What a waste by Trossard! Excellent play by Maupay.

Maybe but the fact we’re getting into the final third in an away game is an improvement on last year. We were always going to lose this, we’re playing against an absolute juggernaut, but like every game this season so far, it’s been fun and encouraging for the future.

And a little bit of perspective for those criticising, we are playing against the best side in the world and the greatest manager of all time.

Exactly. And carrying a threat which we have never done previously in these games.

And that is why we signed Webster and he’s replacing Duffy! Magnificent play!

Must be. I think we look decent, we’re actually asking questions of them which we didn’t at all last season. Propper and Bernardo need to sort it out though.

I like this. We’re playing some good stuff. Propper and Bernardo need to wake up a bit though.

Shame about that start, other than that we’ve looked really good. Much, much better than usual away to the top 6.

Like the look of that side a lot. Lots of pace and hard work in the side as well as players comfortable keeping hold of the ball when we do win it back. Very sensible IMO but we’ll see what happens. And re: Duffy, as much as I like him I think we all knew this was going to happen sooner...
