    It is/was mightily impressive, as are some of the others. Engines aren't going to disappear, but their performance is reaching its peak. Electric has plenty of scope for development and refinement, early days.

    Not a joke, And I won't miss the pop pop, or ring ding (depending on tune) Current fleet is 5, and a half! Went to Wales last weekend, which was nearly 600 miles. Definitely a tuned engine journey, but popping to Brighton, out on errands or to the supermarket etc is rarely more than a 10-15...

    this does it for me most of the time. twin webers, manual gearbox, no aids, no radio . . . . it just needs roads . . . .

    I've been thinking about converting one of my Lambrettas to electric, just for local zipping about. . . . . cars will get there but the cost, sustainability and carbon footprint are all highly questionable compared to a sensible modern petrol car.
