    The only superchargers I can find mentioned online are proprietary to Tesla though. What are the generic ones called? I would love to know as I sometimes drive to the New Forest to see my Dad, and I have to take my petrol car

    I lease my car as it makes sense for me, but I'm pretty sure that when you buy an EV the battery isn't owned by you - so when it becomes worn out you get a new one for free. I've certainly heard that mentioned by another EV car owner

    I have a BMW i3, and really love it. I mainly use it for driving around town, kids drop offs etc - and hence very rarely test the mileage limits. I do drive to Gatwick and back (from Hove) and that uses about half the battery. When I need longer journeys I use my wife's car which is petrol...
