The 1st season in the Premier league was more exciting IMO. Familiarity breeds contempt as the saying goes, but i'm quite looking forward to see how this new style of playing pans out throughout the season.

Was it really a lot different between 1979-1983? Apart from 1 season with a respectable mid table finish, it was all about just avoiding relegation until the Cup run helped that to happen.
