British Cycling seems to be for sport cyclists who have different needs compared to destination cyclists. e.g. lycra brigade will object to new cyclepaths.
As I suspected with an earlier post of mine, offensive cyclist was going quicker than he said. This is typical and happens very often that both cyclist and motorists act within the law but cycle or motor too quick to stop in time.

Cyclist said 10 to 15 mph. I'm not sure if I believe that but it was not disputed.
What else can a cyclist do? Not as though it was a blind corner.
Negligence just does not hold water.
Experienced cyclists and motorcyclists know that buses and their passengers are the number one hazard by frequency. I even plan my route to avoid buses as far as possible. Bus drivers see cyclists as the number one nuisance.
When a bus wants to run you over, run for your life.
