When we desperately needs a striker with only half a week of the window left? Absolutely no way. A lot of people on here seem to forget that both Bloom and Benham are professional businessmen. This isn't some fun and game charade. At least it shouldn't be
And have wasted hours of his negating teams time, as well as his recruitment team, who are likely looking for a replacement? I don't think so. Furthermore, it's been cited that the model at Brentford means they need to sell either Maupay or Watkins to meet their profit requirements. Those...
At least if we do sign him (which, touch wood, is looking likely) it'll put an end to this bulls*** about this unwritten rule which means we can never sign any player from Brentford because our chairmen don't like eachother.
Palace now rumoured to be in for Maupay :lolol:

One or two of their fans seem quite excited at the prospect....
Sheff United have agreed a fee for Bournemouth's Lys Mousset. No idea why they'd want him, but that's besides the point. Looks like it could just be us and villa in the race now
Thank you

Sorry but why? He's just scored 26 goals in the ch'ship and we'd have to pay in excess of 20 million for him if the papers are to be believed. Why on earth would he be a bad option as our main striker?
Nope. He has that pest-like nature, but he likes to stay in goal scoring areas and is much more of a poacher, rather than Andone who is used to stretch defences. Bit of a big comparison, but I consider Maupay to be more of an Aguero-type player. Or more of a Chicharito, for a bottom half comparison
It's a shame really that we automatically seem to be out of the running when it comes to Brentford players, because they have a consistently good production line of talent and probably one of the best scouting networks in the country.
That said, would we be interested if bloom thought there...
All we have to do is persuade the player to come to us and then match any offer that's put in. His agent would no doubt demand than two offers of equal value were both accepted, and if the player wanted to come to us then that could force benhams hand. That said, the chance of this happening is...
