Not really strange, news embargoes are common practice. That isn't to say they're under one right this moment, but it isn't that strange in the grand scheme of things.

Do you think clubs aren't aware of what others are paying in the market? Even if it wasn't news Maguire going to united for £80m, other clubs would be aware of the fees paid.

Unfortunately, the club's easy pickings for a few who you'd expect appreciate our club's more cautious approach. Instead, any excuse to bash the club. Conveniently, they always avoid valid points from those with an opposing view. So I guess it's just fill a void in their miserable life.

If that's aimed at me; I'm actually taking the piss out of a few posters who seem to infer the club has no idea what it's doing.

No idea, not sure on the FA regulations. Maybe that's what Villa has been doing. They've not actually signed 110 players, but 110 iterations of the same player.

But that's impossible! Because we've been told on good authority that the club doesn't really know what it's doing and instead prefers to spend its time watching defenders!

Bear with me, I've done basic research on him; so is he the kind of striker to play along side another, or is he industrious and works hard as a lone striker?

Is this chap the answer, though? A good season, maybe - but we're inevitably after a bit of experience, surely?

I can't see this happening, I really want to see this happen but I don't. I think Andone could be our 'Aguero-style' striker, but given he likes a bit of red makes me wonder if he'll be 100% reliable. Or maybe it was frustration that he was getting game time and may make more of an appearance...
