It's a totally fair comment. Neal is about par this season for where he should be in terms of the chances he's had (though of course, he has scored the harder ones and missed the easy ones) The defence haven't contributed loads, just Shane I think. But to be fair, they're defenders. Again...

Trouble, is that you can justify a Firmino if there are other people in the side who can score. We kind of need a centre forward better at the basics of the role .... you know, the whole ball/net business

I watch the shooting drills as well (to inform my first scorer bet). The thing I notice is the high number of saves made. What it says to me is that we're prioritising shots on target. Presumably this is because of some analysis along the lines of, if you get them on target you might get a GK...

All strikers miss chances. But is there anyone now who seriously believes Neal is going to turn into the striker we want him to be? Someone who can at least match their xg.
