Even if you consider that Trossard "isn't a striker" (with which Potter disagrees, echoed by Pep), this is just plain wrong. Maupay has started ten games, and come on in another. Welbeck has also started games. Trossard has started every game.

Spot on. As if we didn't know already, Murray is an extraordinary goalscorer. It's his lack of pace that's the problem. With a bit of luck, he'll start home games this season (where pace isn't quite so important), but not away (when we'll have less possession).
The finishing is extremely impressive, particularly from someone of that age. But we'd need strikers that can make their own opportunities at this level, and there's not too much evidence of that in his goals last season. Also factor in the dodgy keeping -- the times he's latching on to...
