I was not looking for a history lesson
I should have clarified…since we’ve been in the PL. We wouldn’t have got out of League 1 or the Championship with 1 decent striker, an injury prone one and not up to scratch others
Nowt wrong with Maupay, we just need more than him as an option
It’s the Brighton way, we always have just one decent striker, although we do have Welbeck but he cannot be relied upon.
They were bad misses, I was surprised after the composure he showed for last week's goal. All strikers have days like that but at least he was in the right place to miss them.
**** me this is really being dragged out, we’re not signing Mbappe FFS but an average Championship player. Just fecking announce it
Nobody other than BHA or Brentford fans will give a shit
If others do his running for him and he gets support I think he may score even more this season. Big part if he stays fit imo, regardless of who we bring in.
Given the history between the two chairman, hardly a surprise. I’ll be amazed if we get this one over the line. If they want him I imagine Villa are firmly in the driving seat regardless of what the player would prefer.
Or he wants to play for the manager who gave him a break who now manages a team that are much bigger than the Albion
Maybe the Brentford boss is also resisting letting a player go to Bloom’s Albion.
