    [Albion] Summer signings

Came from nowhere at Charlton, needs a season in the Championship first perhaps, that said I'm guessing he wouldn't break the bank if Huddersfield could be persuaded to sell.

Write off Glenn at your peril, did anyone expect him to score the 13 he has managed so far this season? Having said that l agree that Mitrovic would make a good replacement, if, and it's a big IF, we could afford him, and he is willing to come. I do have a feeling though that much bigger fish...

Hmmm the Brentford owner Matthew Benham and Tony Bloom famously don't get on. Whenever we play at Griffin Park Tony joins us fans to watch the game, and doesn't take up his seat in the Directors Box. Doubt very much a deal could be done there.

Well, I'd prepare to be disappointed then. we have this rigid wage structure that l am sure the club isn't going to break. I can see the August transfer window being a near carbon copy of the last few.

From Southend straight to the Premier League . . . no l don't think so. As far as 'one for the future' in concerned, well I think we already have enough of those. Very few are ever seen again anyway.

Are any of those necessarily any better or different to the players we already have though? I can only reiterate what I have said on other threads, I don't think it's so much the players that have been at fault, but more the system that they are being asked to play.

I'm sure he isn't Premier League ready! The same applies to Tau and Arce, even if they are granted work permits.

Still a relatively regular starter at Anfield, and as you say only 33, so why wiould he want to come to Brighton? especially for the vastly reduced salary that he would earn here. Otherwise, yes a good call, and I agree, the sort of player that we badly need.

To be fair I think it's as much about tactics and the way that we set up, as it is about individual oplayers. You merntion our midfield, the reason that they don't get within forty yards of our forward line is down to the rigid system that they are asked to play. We have players like Davy...
